1. Acceptance of Terms
By making a booking with Suvesta Inbound Travel and Recreation (Pvt) Ltd ("Suvesta", "we", "our"), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you are booking on behalf of a group, you confirm that each member has also accepted these terms.
2. Booking & Confirmation
A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of the required deposit and a written confirmation from Suvesta. We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion. All bookings are subject to availability at the time of confirmation.
- A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total tour cost is required to secure your booking.
- Full payment is due no later than 30 days before the tour start date.
- For bookings made within 30 days of departure, full payment is required immediately.
- Confirmation documents will be sent to the email address provided at the time of booking.
3. Payments & Pricing
All prices are quoted in United States Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated. Suvesta reserves the right to adjust prices prior to full payment in the event of significant currency fluctuations, government-imposed taxes, or fuel surcharge changes.
- Accepted payment methods: bank transfer, major credit/debit cards, and secure online payment gateways.
- Bank charges and currency conversion fees are the responsibility of the traveller.
- Quoted prices include services listed in the itinerary only; personal expenses are excluded.
4. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to info@suvesta.com. The following cancellation schedule applies:
- More than 60 days before departure: Full refund of payments made, less the non-refundable deposit.
- 31 – 60 days before departure: 50% refund of the total tour cost.
- 15 – 30 days before departure: 25% refund of the total tour cost.
- 14 days or fewer before departure: No refund applicable.
5. Changes to Bookings
Requests to change a confirmed booking (dates, itinerary, accommodation) must be made in writing. We will endeavour to accommodate changes, subject to availability and any applicable amendment fees. Suvesta reserves the right to modify or substitute itinerary elements where necessary due to operational, safety, or weather-related reasons, always maintaining equivalent quality.
6. Liability & Insurance
Suvesta acts as an agent and organiser for the services provided. Our liability is limited to direct losses caused by our proven negligence and shall not exceed the total tour cost paid. We are not liable for:
- Losses due to events beyond our reasonable control (see Force Majeure clause).
- Personal injury, illness, death, or property loss not caused by Suvesta's negligence.
- Third-party service failures (airlines, hotels, transport providers).
- Costs arising from failure to hold adequate travel insurance.
Comprehensive travel insurance — covering health, accident, cancellation, and baggage — is a mandatory requirement for all travellers booking with Suvesta.
7. Traveller Conduct
Suvesta expects all travellers to respect Sri Lanka's natural environment, cultural heritage, local communities, and fellow tour participants. We reserve the right to remove a traveller from a tour without refund if their behaviour:
- Endangers the safety or well-being of others or themselves.
- Damages property or the natural environment.
- Violates Sri Lankan laws or cultural norms.
- Disrupts the enjoyment of other tour participants.
8. Force Majeure
Neither party shall be held liable for failure to perform any obligation under these terms where such failure results from circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, government actions, civil unrest, pandemics, strikes, or severe weather events. In such circumstances, Suvesta will provide a credit note or alternative tour dates wherever possible.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on the Suvesta website — including text, photography, itineraries, and branding — is the intellectual property of Suvesta Inbound Travel and Recreation (Pvt) Ltd. Reproduction or commercial use without prior written consent is prohibited.
10. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms shall first be referred to good-faith mediation. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Colombo, Sri Lanka.
